Jerome "Pastor Buddy" Scales, Jr.

Born in Memphis, TN, and raised in Jackson, TN as the son of Jerome Sr. and the late Rosie M. Scales, passionate about positively impacting the community.

My educational journey includes:

Before entering full-time ministry, I gained valuable experience working with the Memphis/Shelby County Juvenile Court as a probation officer and family mediator. Additionally, I served as a Protective Services Investigator for the Tennessee State Department of Children's Services, dedicated to investigating abuse and neglect cases. While these roles provided opportunities to assist families in difficult circumstances, I felt a more profound yearning to help people in a meaningful way truly.

Driven to impact my community profoundly, I embarked on a public speaking journey. For the past 25 years, I have engaged in pastoral ministry and public speaking, embracing the challenge of tackling complex subjects. I enjoy laughter and aim to infuse my speaking engagements with a balanced blend of humor, knowledge, and inspiration.

After facing numerous tests and trials, I am committed to adding value to the lives of those I encounter. Teaching others from my personal experiences how to better love and care for others continues to be a theme of importance.  Consequently, my biggest payoff is seeing individuals stretch beyond their comfort zones toward more profound, meaningful relationships.

Moreover, I consider family life to be of utmost importance and strive to inspire others to restore family values as a vital component of American society.

Motto: "If each one would reach one, together, we could change the world."
